  “Why would she need her mates with her to open gifts?” Tabatha asked, coming up to join them as Queen Carmen came over and hugged her, turning to look at Tabby.

Eat, you can still talk while you are eating,” Apollyon said as clothes now covered their bodies and Bull showed up frowning at them.

  “You called?” he asked, looking around their group.

  “I don’t know why you are all worried. I’m not the only one who can do this. Tabby and Melody can most of the time. Why do you think she almost fried half of those people at the Great Shield? Hell, Tabby had the same problem with Holt’s pack.”

  As soon as Tabby, Melody and their mates arrived, Shannon knew that their private moment had ended for the night and she was so looking forward to having time with her men.

  “Shannon, are you paying attention here?” Star asked.

  “I need to get out of here. Just for a few hours, because I swear if I hear one more time how I should do something, or I should learn something, I’m going to rip that little thing apart,” Shannon smiled. “I do believe it’s time for us to have a night out. You know where we haven’t been in a while?”

  Melody shook her head, but was laughing as Tabby’s gaze danced. “The children?” Tabby asked.

  ”Mom,” Shannon called and at once her mom was there.

  “Oh, so I see. Go, before someone comes.” Joina said, placing a kiss on her cheek. “I’ve got the children covered.”

  In a matter of seconds, Shannon and her best friends were on the motorcycles they had driven a few weeks ago. They were wearing their favorite outfits and the warm breeze of the Florida coast was calling to them.

  “So, how long do you think it will be before someone shows up?” Melody asked.

  “I’ve done everything to block everyone. I’m hoping this buys us a few hours. I just want to hit the Beach Club, dance and bury my feet in the sand,” Shannon said.

  “When are you going to send that little shit packing?” Tabby asked, getting right down to the main problem. “I would have fried her ass two weeks ago and sent his charred body back to whoever she belongs to.”

  Shannon growled. “You just had to bring that up, didn’t you?” she sighed. “She’s going back tomorrow and I don’t care what my mates say. Do you know the bitch had the nerve to suggest I send the children away to some kind of school?”

  ”Calm down, Shannon. You’re heating the ground up,” Melody yelled at her and sure enough behind them Shannon could see the ground had a nice indentation from her tires.

  ”I take it you told her to take her suggestion and shove it where the sun does not shine,” Tabby said.

  Shannon smiled. “Um, well I kind of sent her swimming in the north pole.” Shannon giggled as they pulled up to the bar.

  ”You did what?” Tabby laughed. “It’s about time you stood up to her. Damn, I’m proud of you. Now, let’s go celebrate.” Tabby said, sliding off the bike to stop, growling.

  “What?” Shannon asked ready to kill someone when she too growled. “Damn it, go away. You are not going to ruin our night!”
Shannon said, glaring at Belen and Kebar who stood next to Chax and Shane.

  But what really made her furious was the little weasel that stood next to Kebar, smiling.

  Jumping off the bike, Shannon pushed Tabby aside, moving right up to Tiana. “It’s your lucky day, you are going home,” Shannon said, sending the offending thing back to where she came from, before she turned to her mates. “Don’t say a damn word because I’ve had it up to here with this crap!”
